October 10, 2013 - 11:41 am

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Entercom/WEEI, the flagship radio stations (93.7 FM/850 AM) for Boston College football and men’s basketball on the Boston College IMG Sports Network, has extended its partnership with Boston College Athletics to the Eagles’ hockey program. The station has committed to air all Boston College hockey games this season, beginning with the season opener at Michigan on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7:05 p.m. (EST).

“From the passion of the Beanpot to the excitement of the Frozen Four, Boston College hockey is poised for another historic season,” said WEEI Brand Manager Kevin Graham. “WEEI is thrilled to extend our relationship with Boston College and provide coverage of such an elite hockey program. Adding BC hockey makes WEEI stronger and goes perfectly with our great existing hockey lineup.”

Jon Rish will be the play-by-play talent while Andy Powers will provide the color commentary.

“Boston College is excited about this strong partnership with WEEI,” Director of Athletics Brad Bates said. “We look forward to bringing our product to a station such as WEEI.”

When conflicts exist between Boston College men’s basketball or other WEEI professional sports programming commitments, BC hockey games will be streamed live online at BCEagles.com.

Boston College’s season opener at Michigan tonight will be broadcast live on WEEI 850 AM.
