Bart Scott says Patriots should be stripped of all their draft picks due to Kraft charges

It didn’t take long for a prominent talking head to throw out an asinine take about Robert Kraft’s impending arrest for twice soliciting another to commit prostitution at a day spa in Florida.

On WFAN Friday, former Jets linebacker Bart Scott said Kraft’s reported indiscretion should cost the Patriots their entire draft board this year. "I would take their whole draft from them. it has to be something that cripples them. This is a black eye,” he said on CMB.

The Patriots own 12 picks in total and six in the first three rounds.

Scott also said Kraft should be banished for an entire year.

Scott’s demand is absurd, considering draft picks are only taken away due to football-related misconduct. Kraft’s situation might be embarrassing and tawdry, but it has nothing to do with the Patriots.

Jupiter police announced Friday Kraft is one of at least 100 men who will be charged with visiting roughly a half-dozen spas in the Southern Florida area tied to a reported international sex trafficking ring. Authorities say they have tape of Kraft visiting the Orchids of Asia day spa twice, with another person driving him each time.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Kraft said the billionaire “categorically denies any wrongdoing.”

NFL owners are held to the league’s personal conduct policy, and as a result, it’s possible Kraft could face league discipline. Colts owner Jim Irsay was suspended six games and fined $500,000 in 2014 for driving a vehicle while intoxicated and transporting bottles of prescription drugs.

That seems more in line with the kind of punishment Kraft can expect to face. Leave the forfeiture of Patriots draft picks to nonsensical scandals about deflated footballs.
