Count Bill Simmons among those who believes LeBron James is taking his talents to Hollywood.

During an interivew Wednesday on "The Herd with Colin Cowherd," Simmons said the Lakers have a significantly better chance than the Clippers at landing King James if/when he opts out of his contract at the end of 2018. "I think the Lakers have –– I would say –– five times a better chance to land LeBron than the Clippers –– maybe 10 times," he said.

Though the Lakers have been basement dwellers in recent seasons, Simmons believes their future is brighter than the Clippers'. With Chris Paul in his early 30s and Blake Griffin heading towards free agency, it seems as if the Clippers missed their championship window. A Lakers team centered around James and Paul George –– and perhaps Lonzo Ball –– would seem to be a much more desirable situation.

Several other NBA insiders, including the Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, have talked about the likelihood of James heading to Los Angeles next year. But Simmons is the first one to place the Lakers as the unequivocal leaders in the clubhouse.
