The Red Sox recorded a franchise-record 108 wins this season, and unsurprisingly, saw an increase in television ratings.

NESN announced Tuesday the hometown nine averaged a 6.8 household rating in Boston, which is up 24 percent from last year. The Red Sox attracted an average of 800,000 viewers per game across New England.

As I reported last month, these are the highest ratings the Red Sox have enjoyed since 2013, when they drew an average number of 7.3.

While the Red Sox’ TV numbers were good all season long, they took a big upswing after the All-Star Break, bringing in a nightly number of 7.8 through 146 contests –– when I last received more specific numbers.

In terms of demographics, the Red Sox saw an increase of 29 percent for adults 25-54. Their ratings on NESN were the second-highest in baseball, next to the Cardinals.
