Cheer up, Patriots fans, and watch Damien Woody rip the Jets after embarrassing loss to Bills

Distraught Patriots fans can always count on the Jets for some comic relief. While the Patriots were getting manhandled in Tennessee Sunday, the Gang Green suffered perhaps the most embarrassing loss of the entire NFL season. The Bills, who put up 96 points in their previous nine games, dismantled the Gang Green in the Meadowlands. Buffalo pummeled the Jets 41-10 Sunday, prompting all three New York tabloids to put beleaguered Jets coach Todd Bowles in the crosshairs on their back pages.

Matt Barkley, the Bills’ fourth starting quarterback of the season, got his first NFL action since New Year’s Day 2017. The Bills racked up 451 yards of offense with Barkley under center, as a rejuvenated LeSean McCoy rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Barkley also tossed two touchdown passes, including a toss to wide-open offensive lineman Dion Dawkins in the end zone. Most embarrassingly for the Jets, the Bills scored on a rare fumble recovery in the end zone.

It was a tragic performance all the way around, dropping the Jets to 3-7 on the season. Bowles is seemingly on the verge of getting fired and rookie quarterback Sam Darnold appears to be regressing. Former Patriots and Jets offensive lineman Damien Woody had a front row seat for the atrocity Sunday, and laid into the J-E-T-S when he was leaving the stadium. His expletive-filled rant is epic.

“What the f— was this right here?,” Woody asked. “Worst g—- game I’ve ever seen. Getting their asses spanked by the g—- Buffalo Bills. I don’t know what the f— to even say right now. It’s a g—- disgrace. Getting embarrassed by Matt Barkley. At home. I don’t want to hear anybody saying any g—- thing going forward. I’m honestly speechless right now. Getting your ass whipped. Have some pride in your damn job. Getting manhandled out there. I don’t even know what to say right now, man. This is crazy.”

Fortunately for the Patriots, they will take on the lowly Jets after their bye week.
