Julian Edelman’s affiliation with Tom Brady’s sports therapy center and Alex Guerrero is under scrutiny due to the wide receiver’s pending suspension for performance-enhancing drugs. But Edelman hasn’t been visiting TB12 with much frequency this offseason, according to NBC Sports Boston’s Tom Curran.

Edelman, who missed all of last season with an ACL tear, is one of Guerrero’s most ardent public supporters. In April, Edelman posted a video on Instagram of his massage session with Guerrero, dubbing him “Mr. Miyagi.”

Despite Edelman’s ties to Guerrero, one of Curran’s sources says it would be outrageous to link the wideout’s alleged PED use to the work that’s performed at TB12.

"That would be so irresponsible," the source told Curran. “"That would be (bull). And responsible people wouldn't say that or report it, but that's kind of the way things are today.  People will say whatever they want and there are no repercussions.”

Edelman, 32, is permitted to practice throughout the summer and play in all four preseason games. His suspension would start in early September when the regular season begins.
