Get ready for more Dennis Eckersley in the NESN broadcast booth this Red Sox season. The animated analyst tweeted Wednesday he's signed a five-year extension with the regional sports network that will put him in the booth for 85 games.

It's time to party.

Earlier Wednesday, NESN announced its booth for the upcoming Red Sox campaign. It will be anchored by O'Brien and Remy with Eckersley sliding in as the third-most regular voice. Remy returns for his 31st season following another battle with cancer, which took him off Red Sox broadcasts in August. Remy, 66, has experienced multiple relapses since he was first diagnosed with lung cancer in 2008.

Eckersley will join O’Brien and Remy for 30 dates, according to the network’s press release, with their first outing coming in the home opener against Toronto on April 9. Those games promise to be appointment viewing.

In addition, NESN says Carlos Pena and Jarrod Saltamacchia will also serve as color commentators for select games and Spring Training affairs. Pena replaces Jonny Gomes, who left NESN over the offseason to take a coaching job with the Diamondbacks.

Salty and Pena both appeared on NESN in 2017, with the latter serving as a studio analyst for MLB Network since 2014.

NESN’s broadcast schedule starts Friday, when the Red Sox host Northeastern. It will air 19 Red Sox games this spring.
