Who’s in the mood to buy some Red Sox tickets?

Even though the Red Sox hoisted their fourth World Series championship in 14 years just five weeks ago, Spring Training tickets will go on sale Saturday, the team announced. The first game at JetBlue Park, after all, is less than three months away. (The Red Sox will host the Northeastern Huskies on Feb. 22.)

The Grapefruit League opener against the Yankees is slated for the next day, followed by the first of several spring matchups with the Twins. The World Series title defense may not start until late March, but the Red Sox will battle for the Mayor’s Cup before temperatures rise above freezing.

In addition to Spring Training tickets, the Red Sox announced Truck Day will take place Feb. 4. Pitchers and catchers report on Feb. 13.

While all of this news is very exciting, keep in mind the Red Sox will likely put most of their stars on leisurely schedules this spring. During the postseason, Alex Cora remarked that Chris Sale might not start a game until March 20.

The season starts one week later.
