Rob Gronkowski is inserting himself back into the news cycle with a vague career announcement scheduled for later this month, which was emailed to seemingly every reporter who’s ever tweeted the word “Gronk.”

Listen to your team news NOW.

Sharp Communications, a self-described “top NYC public relations firm,” authored the message. It reads as follows: “On behalf of Rob Gronkowski, I’m reaching out to invite you to a Tuesday 8/27 press conference where Gronk will unveil his next chapter.”

The event is scheduled for Aug. 27 at 9:30 a.m. in Midtown Manhattan at a luxury Hyatt.

Since Gronk is supposedly going to reveal his “next chapter,” the announcement probably isn’t going to involve a return to football. Mike Florio surmises Gronk could be writing a book, perhaps a sequel to his previous thriller, “It’s Good to be Gronk.”

For what it’s worth, Sharp Communications boasts more than two dozen corporate customers, including Lyft and Whole Foods.

Maybe Gronk is going to resurrect the Gronk Bus and become a Lyft driver, transporting fans to and from Gillette Stadium throughout the season. He would probably be back in football cleats by Halloween.

After all, Tom Brady says he’s only down 15 pounds.
