The Blues are apparently feeling the pressure of their pending Game 7 all the way up to the executive suite. On Tuesday, St. Louis general manager Doug Armstrong freaked out at the Garden Zamboni Crew, according to multiple reporters on the scene, because the ice wasn’t ready for Blues practice.

“Do your f— jobs,” he yelled at the employees, channeling his inner-Bill Belichick in the worst and cheesiest way imaginable.

The ice resurfacers, hard-working folks who probably make a small fraction of what Armstrong takes home, apparently didn’t take his entitled whining kindly. “Who pissed in your cheerios this morning,?” one of them replied, per TSN’s Darren Dreger.

To Armstrong’s credit, he did reportedly apologize to the crew after his freakout. We all lose our cool and have ugly moments, and a few bad seconds aren’t indicative of one’s character.

But then again, Armstrong did call Ivan Barbashev's one-game suspension for his blindside headshot on Marcus Johansson "excessive," so those comments should be used against him. The apparent tension will only build as we inch closer to puck drop Wednesday night.
