Tom Brady declined to comment on the reported growing tension between Bill Belichick and Alex Guerrero during his weekly interview with “Kirk & Callahan” Monday.

Guerrero, who serves as Brady’s personal guru and business partner, has not traveled with the Patriots recently. Guerrero’s absence comes roughly one month after ESPN the Magazine’s Seth Wickersham quoted a friend of Belichick’s who predicted a “collision was coming” between the coach and Brady’s right-hand man.

On K&C Friday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter added that he’s heard rumors of a rift with Belichick and Guerrero as well.

“I don't have any comment on that, other than to say Alex has been a huge part of what I do and I'm so fortunate to have him not only as a friend, but with everything we've been able to do together,” Brady said. “It takes a lot of people for an NFL player to achieve. Your career and teammates and coaches and family and support and friends, and Alex has been a huge, huge reason why I'm still playing.”

Brady did not elaborate when asked why Guerrero is no longer traveling on road trips, which he’s done in the past. “I don't have any comment on that,” Brady said.

But when the topic turned to Guerrero’s impact on Rob Gronkowski, who adopted the TB12 Method last offseason, Brady was more than happy to tout Guerrero’s abilities at length.

“Gronk has learned a lot,” Brady said. “Every player, as you go over the course of your career –– it evolves. Your training evolves and what works for you evolves. Gronk's done a great job this year in preparation for the season, and over the course of the season he's kept his routine up to really help him feel as good as he does. I've learned a lot over the years. I know what works and doesn't work. I've been in sports for 25 years. I think I have a pretty good understanding of what you need to do in order to stay healthy. That's why I feel so strongly about it. That's why we wrote a book. Hopefully it helps a lot of people, and I do think it's helped a lot of people, which is very fulfilling in and of itself.”
