Jerry Jones may have some explaining to do. Video surfaced Friday of the Cowboys owner making a racial joke to a fan in 2013 at his wedding.

The clip, which was published on The Blast, shows Jones sending well-wishes to the bride-to-be. It was reportedly shot at the Warwick Melrose Hotel in Dallas.

“Jennifer, congratulations on the wedding,” Jones said. “Now you know he’s with a black girl tonight, don’t you?”

Jones, 75, walks away laughing as the camera is pointed towards an African-American male.

Ex-Cowboys cornerback has leapt to Jones’ defense, telling The Blast he doesn’t believe the video should affect anybody’s view of Jones. “Jerry does more for his players than anyone in the league, I don’t think there’s a player, whether African-American or Caucasian, that would agree [the video] is a representation of Jerry,” Sanders said.

Jones has found himself wrangled in controversy this season, first over his edict mandating Cowboys players stand for the national anthem, and now over his feud with commissioner Roger Goodell. Earlier Friday, ESPN published a lengthy feature story detailing the breadth of Jones’ desire to halt Goodell’s contract extension.

In it, Jones is quoted as calling Patriots owner Robert Kraft a “p****” for how he handled Deflategate, pledging to fight Goodell with “all he’s got.”
