Red Sox Farm Report: Triston Casas slumping, C.J. Chatham still rolling

Having really found his swing in his first full professional season, Red Sox top prospect Triston Casas has hit a bit of a slump in recent weeks, going 4-for-31 in his last eight games with Class A Greenville.

Since July 31, Casas has posted a slash line of .129/.161/.194, and though his raw power is his biggest tool, he hasn't homered since July 16.

C.J. Chatham continuing to hit in Portland

Still leading the Eastern League in batting average, C.J. Chatham went 2-for-5 with an RBI double for Double-A Portland on Thursday as he continues to flash a solid hit tool in the minors.

While Chatham has suffered from a lack of real pop, but has hit for a high enough average in Double-A to be successful, batting .298 in Portland.
