One of the many questions surrounding Tom Brady’s NFL future is how much a soon-to-be 43-year-old quarterback is actually worth?

Listen to your team news NOW.

To the Patriots?

To another NFL team?

While money reportedly won’t be the singular or even biggest deciding factor in where Brady plays his 21st NFL season in 2020, his market value may still have an effect on his immediate future.

As such, CBS Sports’ Joel Corry, a former NFL agent who once upon a time negotiated some pretty big contracts for some pretty big clients, did his best this week to project possible contracts for the NFL’s impressive class of impending free agent quarterbacks.

The numbers that Corry came with for Brady are, well, rather large.

Corry projects that Brady could get a three-year contract totaling $100 million, with $65 million guaranteed.

“Brady has consistently stated he wants to play at until he's at least 45,” Corry writes for CBS. “He is already in uncharted territory as the oldest full-time starting quarterback in league history. Ben Roethlisberger, who will be 38 in March, sets the older quarterback market. The Steelers gave him a two-year, $68 million extension where $37.5 million was fully guaranteed last April.”

Corry’s projection pushes the market for Brady higher than previous speculative reports. NFL Network reported on Super Bowl Sunday that the Patriots would be willing to go in excess of $30 million to keep Brady, while others have indicated that the Raiders could pursue TB12 with a deal in the range of two years for $60 million.

For comparison, Corry projects that Titans free agent Ryan Tannehill could get a four-year deal worth $125 million with $75 million guaranteed, Drew Brees one year at a fully-guaranteed $28 million, Philip Rivers two years for $60 million with $32 million guaranteed, Dak Prescott four years for $150 million with $120 million guaranteed and Teddy Bridgewater four years for $100 million with $55 million guaranteed.

These are just one man’s projections, but they certainly point to what could be a pretty crazy, lucrative quarterback free agent market.

One that includes the GOAT Brady for the first time in his 20-year career.
