It’s a group of 99 players led by Ohio State defensive end Chase Young, one of the first names likely to come off the board in the first round come April.

The 99 total early entries is the third-highest number in the last 10 years, although it’s actually down from the previous two drafts. There were 103 early entries a year ago and 106 in 2018.

Other notable names among the 99 early entries include Alabama wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs, Wisconsin record-breaking running back Jonathan Taylor, Clemson wide receiver Tee Higgins, Washington quarterback Jacob Eason, LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm and injured Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa among many others.

Locally, star Boston College running back AJ Dillon is also leaving the Heights a year early to make a run at NFL stardom.
