It’s not surprising that some of Josh Gordon’s current and former teammates almost instantly reacted on social media to the wide receiver being reinstated by the NFL.

But there was a far more unexpected Twitter response to Gordon’s return to New England. That came from Pro Football Hall of Famer OJ Simpson.

The former Bills running back, best known at this point for being found not guilty of murdering his wife and then spending time in jail for a robbery attempting to reacquire his own memorabilia, including his Heisman Trophy, chimed in on Gordon’s return to New England and how it impacts the defending Super Bowl champs.

“New England is the favorites in the AFC again,” Simpson said in a Twitter video in regards to Gordon’s reinstatement. “A lot of people don’t want to hear that. But that’s the way it is. Just sayin’.”
