With the 2019 season now officially in the rearview mirror following the Chiefs’ win in Super Bowl LIV, attention turns to the offseason and, down the road, 2020.

Listen to your team news NOW.

Even before the 32 NFL squads make a single move to improve, Vegas has already turned its eye to the new year. That includes early odds on who’ll win NFL MVP honors for 2020, a year after breakout Baltimore star QB Lamar Jackson took home the award in just his second season.

Not surprisingly, Kansas City Super Bowl MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who won the league MVP award a year ago in just his second season and first as a starter, is the odds-on favorite for 2020 at +400.

He’s followed by Jackson at +600.

Three years removed from is third NFL MVP honor following the 2017 season, Patriots' free-agent-to-be QB Tom Brady is a bit further down the list, tied for 10th most likely to win the 2020 MVP at +3,000 as he approaches his 43rd birthday this coming summer.

According to the odds makers, Brady has the same likelihood to win 2020 MVP as Panthers’ running back Christian McCaffrey, Cowboys’ running back Ezekiel Elliot and Falcons’ QB Matt Ryan.

Other names ahead of Brady on the MVP odds list include Houston’s Deshaun Watson, Dallas’ Dak Prescott, New Orleans’ Drew Brees and Arizona’s Kyler Murray, although some books have Murray tied with Brady.

Even without knowing where Brady will play in 2020 – free agent uncertainty which is also true for Prescott and Brees – the early odds don’t favor a resurgent MVP season for TB12.
