Back And Forth But No Progress
CHESTNUT HILL -- The Chippewas can move the football, sort of. The Eagles have not really not moved it at all. No big plays, no long drives, not a lot to comment on in the first quarter. The Eagles are keeping the Chippewas on short yardage plays with Dan LeFevour 10-17 for 72 yards with a long of 13. Yet, the Chippewas consistently march into Boston College territory and bog down. Three times now have the Chippewas passed the 50 and had to punt from the 46 (twice) and the 42 yard line. The resulting kicks have had two touchbacks and one downed at the 14 yard line. Eagles quarterback Dave Shinskie is 2-6 for 21 yards with one 20-yard strike to Colin Larmond, Jr. The player of note for Boston College has been punter Ryan Quigley who bombed a 61 yard kick (with the strong wind at his back) and downed a punt on the Central Michigan seven yard line.
