Friday Red Sox Farm Report: Michael Chavis homers for first time this season

Here are all the happenings from Thursday night's action in the Red Sox farm system.

TRIPLE-A PAWTUCKET RED SOX (42-46): W, 7-3 vs. Syracuse

- Starting pitcher Justin Haley picked up his fifth win, striking out nine, while allowing two earned runs in 5 2/3 innings pitched.

- Right fielder Aneury Tavarez smacked a two-run home run, his sixth of the season.

- In his first game up from Double-A Portland, second baseman Tony Renda notched two hits, including a double, and scored twice.

DOUBLE-A PORTLAND SEA DOGS (35-53): W, 5-4 vs. New Hampshire

- 2014 first-round pick Michael Chavis launched his first home run of the season. It was his eighth game overall since returning from his 80-game suspension.

- After surrening four runs in the top of the first, starting pitcher Dedgar Martinez did not allow another run in the next five innings pitched

- The bullpen did not allow a run in the final three frames.

HIGH-A SALEM RED SOX (44-45): L, 5-4 vs. Winston-Salem

- 2017 first-round pick Tanner Houck allowed five runs in six innings, inflating his ERA to 5.14. He owns a record of 4-11.

- Third baseman Bobby Dalbec went 0-4 with three strikeouts and a walk. Dalbec has struck out 110 times in 296 at bats.

- Catcher Jordan Procyshen doubled and drove in two. He now has 24 total bases in 31 games played.

SINGLE-A GREENVILLE DRIVE (36-53): Game suspended due to rain

SHORT SEASON-A LOWELL SPINNERS (12-14): W, 6-1 at Auburn

- Second baseman Jarren Duran went 2-for-3 with a triple, two walks, and two runs. His OBP sits at .417.

- First baseman Trey Ganns doubled twice and drove in two runs. He increased his average to .171.

- Starting pitcher Eduard Bazardo pitched six strong innings, only allowing one run to earn his third win.
