Thursday Red Sox Farm Report: Tzu-Wei Lin records 3 doubles in PawSox rout

Here are all the happenings from Wednesday night in the Red Sox farm system.

TRIPLE-A PAWTUCKET RED SOX (34-36): W, 10-2 vs. Buffalo

- The PawSox outhit Buffalo 16-3.

- Shortstop Tzu-Wei Lin doubled three times, bringing his total to 12 on the year. Lin has recorded eight hits in his last three games.

- Starting pitcher Josh D. Smith allowed one hit and no runs in six innings. Opponents only hit .219 against Smith for the season. Josh A. Smith then came in for the final three innings to pick up the save. 

"Honestly, when I saw the lineup, I said, 'Man.' I was kind of confused. Is that the righty or lefty?'" Pawtucket catcher Óscar Hernández said to reporters. "But both guys did a really good job tonight."

DOUBLE-A PORTLAND SEA DOGS (26-44): L, 12-3 vs. Reading

- First basemean Josh Ockimey slugged a two-run home run, good for his team-leading 10th of the season.

- 2013 seventh overall pick Trey Ball surrendered five earned runs in 3 1/3 innings of relief, ballooning his ERA to 7.07 on the year.

- Starting pitcher Dedgar Jimenez was tagged for seven earned runs in 4 2/3 innings. The loss marks his sixth of the season.

HIGH-A SALEM RED SOX (32-36): Scheduled day off

SINGLE-A GREENVILLE DRIVE (25-44): Scheduled day off

SHORT SEASON-A LOWELL SPINNERS (3-3): L, 8-4 vs. Staten Island

- Catcher Kole Cottam doubled twice and drove in a run in the loss.

- Starting pitcher Eduard Bazardo allowed three home runs and six earned runs in five innings, yet struck out eight. He has accumulated 18 strikeouts through two starts, both of which have been losses.

-The team went 4-for-8 with runners in scoring position.
