Here's what happened in the Red Sox farm system Tuesday night.

TRIPLE-A PAWTUCKET RED SOX (56-62): L, 4-1; W 4-0 vs. Norfolf

- In Game 1, starting pitcher Chandler Shepherd was handed his eighth loss of the season. His ERA climbed to 3.99 after surrendering two home runs and four earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.

- Designated hitter Sam Travis went 3-for-3 with an RBI. He increased his average to .260.

- The team combined to go 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position.

- In Game 2, starting pitcher Mike Shawaryn dealt seven shutout innings, only allowing two hits. The outing represented the first complete game shutout of his career.

- Rusney Castillo doubled for the 28th time of the season, while notching an RBI. His 2-for-4 line increased his batting average to .323, helping him stay in the league-lead.

- Travis stayed hot, doubling and driving in a run while posting a 2-for-3 line.

DOUBLE-A PORTLAND SEA DOGS (50-68): W, 5-2 (10 innings) vs. Trenton

- Pinch-hitter Luke Tendler smashed a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to propel Portland to victory.

- Center fielder Tate Matheny singled home the tying run in the bottom of the tenth. Matheny also doubled in the contest.

- Third baseman Bobby Dalbec doubled and drove in a run, but struck out in his four other at-bats.

- Starting pitcher Kyle Hart threw seven scoreless innings, decreasing his ERA to 3.55.

HIGH-A SALEM RED SOX (56-62): W, 7-2 at Frederick

- Starting pitcher Tanner Houck earned his seventh win, hurling seven innings of one run baseball. He struck out seven in the effort and did not walk anyone. Houck has struggled with command, as last year's first-round pick has given up 60 free passes on the season, yet owns an impressive .245 batting average against.

- The Sox stole four bases in the contest, headlined by right fielder Tyler Hill swiping two to increase his season total to 27.

- Center fielder Jagger Rusconi doubled, walked, and drove in two runs. His average sits at .318.
