The Patriots have a lot of new faces on the offensive side of the ball this year, that much is for certain.

Some of Tom Brady’s favorite targets in Danny Amendola and Dion Lewis are gone, and Julian Edelman won't be able to take the field until Week 5. This all means Brady needs to find new weapons he can trust.

Running back James White joined Dale & Keefe following practice on Monday and explained what it takes to earn the quarterback’s trust in New England.

“Just try to learn the offense as fast as possible,” White explained. “Try not to make the same mistakes, and when you get those reps, show everyone you can do those things and do them at a high level every time. It's just consistency, doing the right thing over and over and over again…that’s what it's all about.”

It remains to be seen what White’s role will be in an offense with so many new faces. But it seems he’ll be happy with whatever the coaching staff has in store for him.

“I do whatever the coaches need me to do,” White said. “One week it may be two catches and block the whole game. The next it might be ten catches, no carries so you don’t really know how the game is going to go. I accept my role every week and try to execute to the best of my abilities.”
