-- The PawSox overcame an early five-run deficit by scoring nine runs on 15 hits.

-- Third baseman Jantzen Witte (3-for-5, RBI), shortstop Mike Miller (3-for-5, RBI) and outfielder Kyle Wren (2-for-5, 2 RBI) all contributed in the victory.

DOUBLE-A PORTLAND SEA DOGS (49-68): W, 6-2 at Akron

-- Michael Chavis and Bobby Dalbec both logged three RBIs.

-- Dalbec smacked his 31st home run of the season, tied for most in all of the minors.

-- Starter Matt Kent earned his team-leading eighth win of the season. He threw seven innings, five perfect, on three hits, two runs, two walks and five strikeouts.

-- Reliever Trey Ball pitched two perfect innings, meaning Portland pitchers combined for seven perfect innings out of nine.

HIGH-A SALEM RED SOX (54-62): L, 9-0 vs Carolina

-- The Sox never got their offense going Sunday, mustering only four hits. The team went 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position and left a total of four men on base.

-- Reliever Kris Johnson took the loss after throwing one inning of relief in which two unearned runs crossed the plate.
