Bruins general manager, Don Sweeney, announced the following roster moves on Wednesday:

-- Jack Studnicka has been returned to the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

-- Anton Blidh, Colby Cave, Cody Goloubef, Mark McNeill, and Dan Vladar will report to the Providence Bruins.

-- Jordan Szwarz will remain with the Bruins and play in Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings

Studnicka is one of the Bruins top-rated prospects. He would have been sent to the P-Bruins, but the AHL has an agreement with the CHL/OHL, etc to keep players under a certain age in those leagues. The 19-year-old had a very good shot at making the Bruins roster this season, but still needs more time to develop. Studnicka appeared in five P-Bruins playoff games last season, tallying five points (one goal, four assists).

That short cameo in Providence helped Studnicka improve his game at the pro level.

Vladar, a goaltender, was sent back to the Providence Bruins after a great training camp. There is simply no room on the Bruins roster for Vladar, but sending him back to Providence to improve his game will only help him. Vladar has the capability of one day being the Bruins starting goaltender.
