The Bruins have recalled defenseman, Jeremy Lauzon, from the Providence Bruins on an emergency basis.

With Torey Krug, Charlie McAvoy, Kevan Miller, and now Urho Vaakanainen injured, Lauzon is set to make his NHL debut on Thursday.

The Bruins drafted the young defenseman in the second round (52nd overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. The 21-year-old is off to a great start in his second season with the Providence Bruins, tallying four points (one goal and three assists) through six games played.

In his rookie season, Lauzon only recorded seven points through 52 games, but was awarded the opportunity to be an assistant captain for his defensive capabilities. Lauzon is a big, mobile defenseman with tremendous upside. He likes to jump in on the offensive rushes to help his team score and is a decent two-way player.

Lauzon will join the Bruins against the Flyers Thursday, and could very well be in the lineup on Saturday against the Canadiens.
