Update: After the game Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy told NESN that Miller was taken to the hospital during the game and he will remain there over night for observation.

Another one bites the dust.

According to the team, Bruins defenseman Kevan Miller will not return to Monday night’s game after taking a John Tavares shot to the throat.

Although there was no confirmation, according to TSN’s broadcast, Miller was taken to a local Toronto hospital to be evaluated.

The 31-year-old recently returned from a hand injury, but could be hitting the injury block once again. Miller has recorded two assists through 10 games this season.
