The “College Hockey Line" as many are calling it, seemed to collectively find its game over the past week.

Ryan Donato (Harvard), Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson (Boston University), and Danton Heinen (University of Denver) are currently playing on Boston’s third line.

Over the past three games, the trio has combined for four goals and three assists in helping the team win three of its last four games.

Have the Bruins finally found their third line? It seems that way. With all three players producing, it will be hard to split them up.

The combination of speed and skill sets this third line apart from many other third lines across the NHL. Each player has a special skill set that makes them stand out from the rest.

After Tuesday’s win over the Coyotes, Heinen told reporters the trio is always looking for ways to help the team with secondary scoring.

“We’re always talking,” said Heinen. “We’re three pretty young guys and we’re trying to learn together and improve together so yeah we’re talking and trying to improve.”

Heinen added: “I think it’s getting better. You definitely want to be helping them [first line] with secondary scoring.”

Bruce Cassidy also had some things to say about his third line combo.

“Good for those young guys to get on the board,” said Cassidy. “They need to score periodically to feel good about themselves. We’ll keep working on the rest of their game.”
