The SERVPRO First Responder Bowl between the Boston College Eagles and No. 23 Boise State Broncos was canceled due to lightning Wednesday afternoon. There was a delay that lasted an hour and 20 minutes before the game was called.

The game, which was being played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, began with an Eagles touchdown on a 19-yard run from AJ Dillon to get BC out to an early 7-0 lead. That came after BC stopped the Broncos on their opening drive. Despite playing nearly 10 minutes before mother nature intervened, the game will officially go down as a no contest and statistics from the game won't count.

BC finishes the season with a 7-5 record and stays at 14-12 all time in bowl games. This was the Eagles' third straight bowl game under head coach Steve Addazio.
