Don Cherry is as outspoken as they come, and he had no problem ripping into the Toronto Maple Leafs, as well as other NHL teams, for what he sees as a rise in slew-footing.

"Something's been coming into hockey, a long time ago Pavel Bure did it. But look at this here. That's a slew foot. This is a slew foot too," Cherry said on his Coach's Corner segment Wednesday night while video showed several clips of Maple Leafs players slew-footing Bruins during their first-round series.

(The part about slew foots starts at 2:03 in this video.)

Cherry also made sure to talk to all the kids out there. He's an influencer after all.

"Kids, if anybody's ever going to get hurt bad, it's going to be a slew foot," said Cherry. "It's just creeping into the game. Never used to happen before. Don't ever do that."

Then, Cherry escalated his slew foot analysis.

"If anybody's every going to get killed, it's with a slew foot."

We'll have to see if slew foots become a topic of discussion in the Bruins-Maple Leafs series, which the Bruins evened up at 2-2 Wednesday night, but Cherry seems to think it deserves more attention.
