Jonathan Papelbon wasted little time, fanning Mike Napoli on a 95 m.p.h. fastball. After pinch-hitter Kendry Morales lined a single to right, Erick Aybar fanned on a splitter in the dirt. Papelbon punctuated his outing by blowing away Chone Figgins on a 95 m.p.h. fastball. He needed just 13 pitches (11 strikes) to punch out the side.   The Sox have now won 10 straight postseason games against the Angels, dating to Game 5 of the 1986 ALCS. That ties an all-time record for a playoff winning streak against one club. The A's reeled off 10 straight wins against the Red Sox, sweeping the ALCS in 1988 and 1990 and then winning the first two games of the ALDS in 2003. Of course, that one-sided run did Oakland little good when the Sox came back to win the next three playoff games that year to eliminate the A's.  Papelbon collected his sixth career postseason save, and the Angels can't feel great about the prospect of facing Beckett in Game 3 and Jon Lester in a Game 4 (if necessary).  FINAL SCORE: RED SOX 4, ANGELS 1
