Although it's reportedly an Exhibit 10 deal and not something more permanent, the Celtics finally did something about Tacko Fall's situation on Thursday, signing him to a contract.

Listen to your team news NOW.

However, there is still a long road ahead for the 7-foot-6 center.

By signing an Exhibit 10 deal, the Dakar, Senegal native still isn't on the active roster. If he is waived at the end of training camp and goes to the Maine Red Claws as a Celtics’ affiliated player, he would collect up to $50,000.

But that’s not Fall’s end goal. He has his eyes on claiming the 15th roster spot with the Celtics. After the announcement, Fall made it clear that he is prepared to put in the work during training camp in order to make that goal a reality.

While Fall and his fans were excited, they were not alone. Enes Kanter, one of Boston’s newest big men, also shared that he has faith in the 23-year-old's ability to succeed with the Celtics organization in the future.

In addition to Fall, the Celtics also officially announced they signed Tremont Waters, Max Strus, and Javonte Green on Thursday.
