With the anticipation growing for football to start back up again, Patriots veterans Julian Edelman and Devin McCourty were recognized for their outstanding seasons Tuesday night.

Listen to your team news NOW.

Both players landed on the NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2019 list, with Edelman ranked No. 90 overall, while McCourty was ranked No. 89. Neither of these players had been placed on the 2018 list. Each year, this list is voted on by the players.

Edelman started off last season with a four-game suspension due to testing positive for PEDs, but once he returned, he came up big. In 12 games, the wide receiver caught 74 passes for 850 years and six touchdowns, and was later named Super Bowl MVP when the Patriots defeated the Rams 13-3.

McCourty, who has helped lead a Patriots secondary for three of the team’s championships, was solid again last season. The defensive back had one interception, which proved to be an 85-year pick-six, and two forced fumbles, during his eighth year as a team captain.

The NFL Network reveals 10 players from the Top 100 list every night, continuing Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET.
