After enjoying a bye week, the Patriots are ready to get back on the field in one of their most heralded rivalries of late. Patriots strong safety Duron Harmon joined Ordway, Merloni & Fauria to talk Sunday's game, preparation and the addition of Martellus Bennett. The Patriots have lost two of three to Denver, but won 16-3 in their most recent meeting during last year's regular season. This time, the Patriots had an extra week to relax and repair. Denver is just 3-5 this year and comes off a 51-23 shellacking at the hands of the NFC East-leading Eagles.

New England faced Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler last season with the Texans and Harmon said it helps to have had recent experience against him.

"I've faced Brock three times in the last three years," Harmon said. "We do have some familiarity with him, but this is a challenging team. It can only take a few plays for them to score points so we want to make sure that we stop them from getting the big plays because that's something we've struggled with a little bit this year."

Though the Patriots have struggled in Denver historically, Harmon said the elevation is not an excuse for a poor performance.

"You can't ever let it be an excuse," Harmon said. "All other teams go out there and play in it. It's about going in there and playing well and not letting anything take you away from focusing on any play."

It was announced yesterday that Martellus Bennett rejoined the Patriots after being claimed off of waivers. Bennett struggled in Green Bay this season with an inury, but may try to play through a rotator cuff set back. Regardless, Harmon is excited to have him back.

"Marty is a great guy," Harmon said. "Not only is he a really good football player but the personality he brings to the locker room and how lighthearted he is will be good for the team."
