The Celtics are headed overseas.

London will host the Celtics and 76ers for a game on January, 11th at the O2 arena. Philadelphia will the official home team.

“The Boston Celtics have enjoyed a loyal global following for decades and we welcome the opportunity to connect again with our international fans,” said Celtics team president Rich Gotham in a statement. “We’re happy to be returning to London to play our rivals the 76ers in front of London’s fans and look forward to the exciting atmosphere and experience that this event will offer.”

The game will of course feature Markelle Fultz, who the 76ers were able to draft after the Celtics traded the number one overall pick in this year's draft.

This will be the first time the Celtics have played a regular season game outside of the US or Canada since December 2015 when they took on the Sacramento Kings in Mexico City, Mexico. It is the eighth time NBA teams have played regular season games in London.
