Has The Donald forgiven TB12?

In the wake of Sunday's thrilling 37-31 victory over the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game, the Patriots received a congratulatory tweet from President Donald Trump.

"Congratulations to Bob Kraft, Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the entire New England Patriots team on a great game and season. Will be a fantastic Super Bowl!" Trump wrote.

Notable was his inclusion of Brady, the Patriots quarterback who sparked impassioned debate during the 2016 presidential campaign by displaying a Make America Great Again hat in his locker. Brady eventually distanced himself from Trump and did not attend the White House celebration after beating the Falcons in the Super Bowl, which in turn led to Trump not even mentioning him while honoring the team.

It was quite a fall for the former golf buddies who bonded over beauty pageants. But perhaps there's some reconciliation in the air?

It was a busy day for Trump as it relates to Boston athletics, by the way. He also made a plea for former Red Sox right-hander Curt Schilling to be elected to the Hall of Fame.
