Loquacious Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey told ESPN recently that if he trained for six months -- and in the process learned how to skate -- he could play in the NHL.

A minor-league team in Massachusetts as made a tongue-in-cheek offer to give him that chance.

The Springfield Thunderbirds, the AHL affliliate of the Florida Panthers, offered on Twitter to let Ramsey join the team during training camp, which opens next week.

Ramsey has more pressing matters, namely playing the Patriots on Sunday, but maybe he can make it happen. In the meantime, current Nashville and former Montreal defenseman P.K. Subban would like to let Ramsey know that NHL footwork is a little different from what he does in cleats on an NFL field.
