Jayson Tatum won the Skills Competition on Saturday night and then he made a bold prediction: the Celtics are going to win it all this year.

Speaking to ESPN, Tatum did not mince words.

"We're going to win the Finals this year," he said. "Feb. 16, Jayson Tatum said we're going to win the Finals this year."

It's going to take some work. The C's currently sit in a fourth-place tie in the Eastern Conference with the Sixers at 37-21, one game behind the Pacers with 24 games to play. They trail the second-seeded Raptors by 5.5 games and the top-seeded Bucks by 6.5 games. Milwaukee (43-14) and Toronto (43-16) own the two best records in the NBA.

The Celtics reached Game 7 of the conference finals last year vs. the Cavaliers before falling to LeBron James and Co. Though they earned negative headlines last weekend after blowing huge leads against the Lakers and Clippers, causing forward Marcus Morris to rip the team for not having fun, the C's have very quietly won 12 of their last 15, with quality wins over the Raptors, Nets, Thunder, and Sixers.
