Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts wins second Gold Glove award

Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts won his second straight Gold Glove, Rawlings announced on Tuesday night.

Betts, 25, became the seventh Red Sox player to win multiple Gold Gloves, joining outfielders Carl Yastrzemski, Fred Lynn, and Dwight Evans, first baseman George Scott, second baseman Dustin Pedroia, and third baseman Frank Malzone. Scott is the only other Red Sox player to win two Gold Gloves by age 25.

For the second straight year, Betts graded as one of the best defensvie players in baseball, regardless of position. His 31 defensive runs saved ranked second only to Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons (32).
