The rest of the NFL has barely started to assemble a book on 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, but new teammate Richard Sherman already sees one tip-off that eagle-eyed defenders will be certain to exploit.

Per Patrick Holloway of Niners Nation, Sherman revealed a simple tell that defenses could use against Garoppolo in much the same way a big leaguer might tip his pitches.

"You just need to read him," Sherman said. "Hand off ball, he’s letting it go. You have to be decisive when you make those decisions. If he takes his hand off the ball and doesn’t throw it, I think he'll throw guys off, but when he takes his hand off the ball, you've got to be ready to break."

Defenses will be certain to seek any edge they can find against Garoppolo, who is 7-0 in his career as a starter -- two games with the Patriots, and the final five in San Francisco last year. He produced enough in that short amount of time to earn the No. 90 spot on NFL.com's top-100 players list.
