Remember when Isaiah Thomas dropped 20 points with nine assists on the Cavaliers in a Lakers victory on Sunday night and then insisted it was no big deal and we all thought he was lying?

He was lying.

Per Slam Online, teammate Kyle Kuzma told reporters in Los Angeles on Monday that Thomas was "barking at Cleveland's bench the whole time, every time he scored." Though Thomas only played 15 games in Cleveland after the offseason trade that shipped him from Boston for Kyrie Irving, he made what is considered a negative impact during that time, necessitating the trade deadline housecleaning that remade Cleveland's roster.

Since joining the Lakers, Thomas has rebounded as a sixth man. He's averaging 15.9 points and 5.7 assists a game for a squad that has won seven of its last nine games and made itself a potential free-agent destination in the process. Thomas's shooting numbers, however, remain down -- .396 from the floor and .319 from 3-point land with the Lakers.

"He was only there for 15 games, but it was good to see him try to kill them," Kuzma told reporters. "We have a saying: Your last team, they didn’t want you. He took it to them, and he did a great job."
