Steve DeOssie co-hosted D&K on Thursday and reacted to Josh Gordon’s announcement that morning that he wlll be taking time away from football, before it was later reported he has been indefinitely suspended from the NFL.

When asked how Gordon’s Patriots teammates likely reacted to the news, DeOssie said it depends on how close they were to him.

“It depends on your relationship with the guy,” the former linebacker said. “If you’ve developed a friendship with the guy, probably your first thing is you feel bad for him as a person. But it’s eventually, I don’t care how … in 15,16 weeks I don’t know how you’re going to develop that close a friendship with him where you don’t eventually think about the impact on the team. I wouldn’t be surprised if some guys are mad at him.”

The NFL announced on Thursday Gordon has been suspended indefinitely for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement under the sport’s substance abuse policy. This is his fifth suspension since he entered the NFL in 2012.
