Devin McCourty joined Rob Bradford and Steve DeOssie on D&K on Friday and talked about the Patriots’ situation with Josh Gordon.

“I feel for Josh,” he said. “He came in here and worked his butt off … Just praying for him and wishing the best for him.”

When asked what the atmosphere in the locker room is like following Gordon’s indefinite suspension, McCourty said the team is trying to keep it to business as usual.

“I think everyone is refocused on why we’re here as far as our job,” he said. “ … Our job is to come play football.”

He also said he didn’t realize there were any changes recently regarding Gordon’s personal issues.

“No, I didn’t notice,” McCourty said. “But I don’t think I would.”

He said the main goal for the team is just to refocus and get ready to face the Bills.

“Losing two in a row is tough,” he said. “… It kind of presses on you.”

But he emphasized that players on the team don’t panic and just come in and do their jobs, while leading by example for the younger players.

The older players set the tone and “the younger players just follow that,” he said. “Leading by example, to me, is the best way to go about this time of year.”
