Donald Trump announced on Twitter Monday that he will be awarding Tiger Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom after Woods’ Masters win on Sunday.

“Spoke to @TigerWoods to congratulate him on the great victory he had in yesterday’s @TheMasters, & to inform him that because of his incredible Success & Comeback in Sports (Golf) and, more importantly, LIFE, I will be presenting him with the PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM!,” Trump tweeted.

This was Woods’ 15th major championship win and his first in over a decade.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded to citizens who have an “especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, or world peace, or cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.”
