Josh Gordon’s child support war with his baby mama Christina Lockhart has been going on for years and his next court date interferes with Gordon’s work schedule.

Gordon was supposed to appear in an Ohio court on Dec. 12, right before the Patriots face the Steelers. With losing his job at stake, according to TMZ, Gordon asked the judge to push back the court date until after the Super Bowl.

"[Gordon] is unable to appear in court on said date as he is prohibited from leaving the team (in Massachusetts), per instruction from his employer," he wrote to the judge. "Defendant/Father will not be available for hearing in Cleveland until mid-February, at the earliest, when the football season will be completed (including any possible post-season games)."

Luckily, the judge granted his request.

Lockhart and Gordon share a 3-year-old daughter and Lockhart claims Gordon owes her thousands of dollars in unpaid child support.
