-- Tom Brady is eager to get to know his new Buccaneers teammates and he is wasting no time getting in touch with them.

Tampa wide receiver Chris Godwin opened up recently about his introductory FaceTime with Brady, saying he’s excited to know the quarterback better.

"Really it's literally just getting to know each other," Godwin told Ros Gold-Onwude of The Boardroom. "Just early introductory things. Just trying to get a feel for who we are as people more than anything else. Like we didn't talk ball or anything, really just about how excited we both are to play with each other."

"For me, I'm just going to learn," he added. "You know, learn as much as I can from somebody who's arguably the G.O.A.T., and I'm just ready to roll."

Godwin also talked about his initial reaction to Brady joining the Buccaneers.

"At first it was a little weird, cause it's like I feel like it's someone I've watched my entire life,” Godwin said. "Like you said, he's my colleague now so past the initial interaction it's like alright, cool. This is starting to feel a little more normal now."

Godwin also wears No. 12 for the Bucs (at least he is still listed as wearing No. 12), though the team store is selling No. 12 Brady jerseys and there is still no word on what number Godwin will wear this season.

-- The PGA Tour might be canceled and events postponed but Phil Mickelson gave golf fans something to possibly look forward to on Twitter Sunday night.

When a fan tweeted to Mickelson asking him if there’s any chance he’ll play a mic’d up round with Tiger Woods, the three-time Masters champion all but guaranteed it.

“Working on it,” Mickelson replied.

He then added, “I don’t tease. I’m kinda a sure thing.”

So there you go.
