-- Danny Amendola has only been a Dolphin for a few months but his work ethic is already making an impact in Miami.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase praised the former Patriot on Wednesday, telling PFT Live he is impressed with Amendola’s effort in offseason workouts.

“It’s one of those values that I don’t think you can put a price on,” Gase said. “He’s been great in our locker room. I think the guys watch him work on the field and in the weight room and they understand why he’s played as long as he has, why he’s had success in big situations.”

Gase even said Amendola’s work ethic is making the whole team better.

“Any time you can get a guy who can not only produce for you but can be a great example for other guys in your locker room, he’s making other guys better,” Gase said. “He makes 24 other offensive guys better if they watch him work.”

Amendola spent the last five years with the Patriots until he joined the Dolphins in March.

-- The case of Lucas Glover’s wife attacking Glover and his mother has taken another turn, as the 911 calls have been released.

Krista Glover called 911 and told the dispatcher Glover’s wife attacked HER.

“I’ve been attacked by my mother in law," Krista Glover told the dispatcher. "She’s in tears and locked herself in a room. She attacked us.”

The phone then disconnected. Emergency services called back and Lucas answered the phone.

“I think we got our wires crossed here," he said to the dispatcher. "This is the husband, the sane one of the bunch. My wife has called (the police) on my mom and she’s trying to blame it on my mother, which is not the case at all. My mother is the one bleeding and my wife has gone crazy.”

The golfer also said Krista tends to start fights after he doesn’t play well.

The dispatcher then asked to speak with Krista and Lucas said no.

“No, you cannot,” Glover said. “She’s in the house with my daughter. When the deputies get here, they need to talk to male, that would be me, because these other two are out of their heads at the moment … She’s going to lie to you. That’s why I answered her phone. She’s telling lies and none of it is the truth.”

Krista was ultimately arrested and released on a $2,500 bond.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "His agent, I guess you know, he expressed his feelings but he's not the only big leaguer -- first of all I haven't heard it from Blake, and second, it's been an ongoing talk of players asking for trades or whatever throughout the year,” -- Alex Cora, on Blake Swihart’s reported request for a trade from the Red Sox
