AROUND THE WEB:

-- Rob Gronkowski was recently interviewed by Sportsnet about his new business ventures and whether or not he could return to football but he was also asked about Tom Brady’s future.

And Gronkowski said he can’t “foresee” what the Patriots quarterback will do heading into free agency.

“I mean, that’s a lot of speculation out there that I don’t even … I sometimes read it and I’m like, ‘Dang, this is crazy how much speculation goes out there,'” Gronkowski said. “I would say that’s probably all what it is, too. It’s just all speculation and all that type of stuff. He’s been with New England for 19 years now, so, who knows. It would be weird to a lot of people I would say. I don’t know, man. I can’t foresee the future.”

As for the most recent Gronkowski update, he just joined TikTok.

-- Police are investigating Flyers mascot Gritty for allegedly physically assaulting a 13-year-old boy during a photo shoot.

The reported incident took place in November 2019 at the Wells Fargo Center.

Chris Greenwell, the boy’s father, is a 23-year Flyers season-ticket holder and said the Flyers did nothing after the alleged assault, which took place at a special event for season ticket holders.

“It was photo night with Gritty, so you could get your photo with Gritty,” he said. After the picture was taken, his son tapped Gritty on the head and kept walking “and then Gritty gets out of the chair and then lunges over and punches Brandon (his son) like that — in the bottom left side of his back.”

The punch put Brandon in the hospital and Greenwell is looking for the Flyers to foot the nearly $300 hospital bill.

In a statement on Wednesday the Flyers said, “We took Mr. Greenwell’s allegations seriously and conducted a thorough investigation that found nothing to support this claim.”

“That tells you enough right there when you won’t let me see the video. If you have nothing to hide, you would show the video,” Greenwell said. “But they told me there was no video.”

The police investigation into the matter is active and on-going.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “After a heavy police presence at his home in Hollywood, Florida on Tuesday, and his trainer being arrested for felony burglary and battery involving a moving company, Brown has locked himself in his home.” -- From the latest report in the saga of Antonio Brown
