AROUND THE WEB:

-- Shaquille O’Neal opened his new restaurant, Shaquille’s, right next to the Staples Center in Los Angeles and all the stars came out to celebrate.

Among them were Julian Edelman and Paul Pierce.

The opening took place after the Lakers lost to the Celtics on Saturday night and Jayson Tatum and Rajon Rondo were also in attendance, along with Adam Sandler and Tiffany Haddish.

-- Tim Tebow will not start the season in the Mets starting lineup.

The Heisman Trophy winner is set to begin this season in Triple-A Syracuse. He is entering his fourth season in professional baseball.

Tebow played in 84 games for Double-A Binghamton last season and finished with a .273 batting average, six home runs and 36 RBI.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “Economics will have nothing to do with it. We’ll find out. … I just suggested he take his time and we’ll all wait for his decision. I will support it either way.” -- Drew Rosenhaus, on Rob Gronkowski’s decision about whether or not to retire
