-- USA Today released a ranking recently of the 100 greatest NFL teams and 10 Patriots teams are listed, all from the Brady-Belichick era.

Yet, no Patriots teams are ranked in the top 15.

The top Patriots team listed is from 2007. That team and the others are ranked as followed.

17. 2007 Patriots (went 16-0, lost Super Bowl XLII)

19. 2016 Patriots (went 14-2, won Super Bowl LI)

29. 2004 Patriots (went 14-2, won Super Bowl XXXIX)

40. 2014 Patriots (went 12-4, won Super Bowl XLIX)

60. 2003 Patriots (went 14-2, won Super Bowl XXXVIII)

63. 2011 Patriots (went 13-3, lost Super Bowl XLVI)

66. 2012 Patriots (went 12-4, lost AFC Championship Game)

70. 2018 Patriots (went 11-5, won Super Bowl LIII)

72. 2001 Patriots (went 11-5, won Super Bowl XXXVI)

81. 2017 Patriots (went 13-3, lost Super Bowl LI)

The top spot on the list goes to the 1985 Bears, who won Super Bowl XX, for “pure dominance.”

The article’s author, Nate Davis, explained the thought process of putting together this list, saying, “Given the way the game and players have evolved, extra weight and consideration was conceded to the modern game — you’ll note all 53 Super Bowl champions are listed, however many of the NFL and AFL champions prior to 1966 didn’t receive similar recognition. Metrics like titles won, victories, point differentials and such — which cut across generations with some level of equality — were taken into account, though there was also plenty of room for opinion and art in the final analysis.”

-- A former Patriots tight end is set to appear on Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise.

But it’s not the obvious former Patriots tight end.

Clay Harbor will participate in the sixth season of the spin-off series. He also appeared in Season 14 of “The Bachelorette” but left the competition after suffering a wrist injury while playing football in Week 3.

Harbor spent March to October of 2016 with the Patriots. He was cut after just four games with the team.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "There’s a lot of people upset about that one. No golfing, or Sea World or Legoland. No marina, no, whatever. It is what it is. There was no other option. We’ll play it and we move forward.” -- Alex Cora, on the Red Sox now playing on a scheduled day off
