-- The Patriots released Stephen Gostkowski on Monday and his former teammate Tom Brady posted a photo to honor him.

“An Amazing Player and Friend!!” Brady wrote on the photo with Gostkowski posted to his Instagram story.

Gostkowski and Brady were the Patriots’ two longest-tenured players. Brady, of course, signed with the Buccaneers last week.

-- Isaiah Thomas clearly still loves reminiscing about his time with the Celtics.

In a Q&A on Twitter this week, Thomas was asked why he loves Boston so much and he gave a simple, but touching, response.

“They gave me a opportunity and people actually believed in me for once,” Thomas tweeted.

Thomas was traded from the Celtics in 2017 and was famously emotional about leaving Boston.
